Scott Doss Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy Instructor

Scott Oglesbay-Doss, Board-certified LMT

In 2006, while living in Boston, I discovered massage and was instantly struck by how amazing it felt. Inspired, I started and then graduated from a two-year program in 2008. Armed with a desire to help people find a pain-free way of life. I started my first part-time massage job for a local physical therapy office.

Later In 2013, I moved to Atlanta and found opportunity working with private clients part-time from home. With a growing clientele with wider ranges of issues, I continued to study to bolster my knowledge.  So far I’ve earned certifications in Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy, Physiokinetix, and Neurokinetic Therapy and even a degree in Osteopathic Manual Therapy. These modalities help me assess where and how to work on clients with postural tension from work, compensations from injuries or disability, and athletes.

My mission is to provide excellence in massage where motivation, education and therapy are in alignment. That’s why I officially started Star Dynamic Wellness in 2018, as a way to advance awareness of therapeutic bodywork and its benefits.

Shae Ellingson

I grew up in a small town, so I had the opportunity to play all the sports. My interests in sports expanded in college with intramural and rec-leagues. Being active has always been a big part of my life, but in 2016 I was training for a Triathlon when a slipped on the ice which resulted in a hairline fracture on my hip. To add insult to injury, 6 weeks later I was in a car accident and herniated a disk in my back. Injuries are not new to me, being an athlete, but this was different… I didn’t know if I would walk again!

At this point, I had been a therapist for almost 10 years and suddenly found myself in my patients’ shoes. I did everything my therapists suggested, even taking a step back from my training to allow myself to heal properly. Taking that step back helped me to listen to my body differently and it allowed me to see how I could improve my skills on the therapist side of the equation.

I have become much more aware of myself and I am able to take that skill and transferred it back to how I can help my patients. I have so much more empathy for their individual journeys and I have learned to taking more time to unravel what’s going on for them. I find myself looking through a much bigger lens to helps create overall health for all who come to me.

Justin Nguyen

I’m Justin, and I earned my massage license in 2021. My original plan after high school was to go to college for engineering. Coming out of the pandemic, though, I found a world where people were isolated, and needed touch more than ever. This is why I decided to enroll in massage school with a completely new passion.

I am currently working on a degree in Exercise Science at Georgia State University to bolster what I learned in massage school. My speciality is orthopedic massage, and I strongly believe in releasing pain without causing pain. In fact, my goal is to not only help relieve pain, but also to keep you out of it. I’ve worked with chiropractors and have seen clients ranging from teen athletes to older adults with chronic pain. I work smarter, not harder, so I always have something to offer in the way of pain-management.
